Samadi Bali—a Yoga and Healing Sanctuary in Canggu

Samadi Bali is a yoga studio, wellness centre and kitchen lab—a place for healing and happiness. Located in Canggu close to beautiful Echo Beach, Samadi offers daily yoga classes, healthy home-made vegetarian and vegan food as well as holistic treatments for body, mind and spirit.

Bali-Pocket-005---April-2016-109Samadi is a sanctuary for those longing for peace and quiet. There are four gorgeous rooms to stay and fully immerse in the yogic lifestyle. You can choose an accommodation only or one of the individual retreat packages tailored to each guest’s preferences and needs. Daily yoga classes, nourishing food and holistic therapies and pampering spa treatments will leave you rejuvenated and energized. If you’re looking for a place to host a retreat, a workshop or a teacher training you can rent one of the two beautiful yoga shalas. The Samadi Kitchen facilitates healthy vegetarian food suitable for yogis and health-minded people, also available for groups and catering.

Samadi specializes in Ashtanga yoga. You can learn Ashtanga the traditional way in Mysore classes: the teacher doesn’t lead the whole group but holds the space for the practitioners, beginners and advanced together, to learn and refine their own practice, so it is like a private class in a group setting. As a beginner you will be taught one pose at a time in order to integrate the information, gradually learn the sequence and develop your personalised yoga practice. Besides Ashtanga, there is a wide range of high- quality yoga classes to discover the depth of the yogic teachings: Vinyasa, Yin, Hatha, Embodied Flow, Hatha Tantra, Fly High Yoga and Yoga for Surfers. Everybody can join the classes. To say your body is too tight to do yoga is the same thing as saying you are too dirty to take a bath!

Samadi is also the place for community events: every week there is Movie Night on Wednesdays, Guided Dance on Fridays, different workshops on Saturdays and Organic Market on Sundays. Once every month people get together to jam and hang out at Ecstatic Full Moon Dance event.
