Summer heat

Partying till late has turned into a rage for the young summertime tourists. With the arrival of the high season, all venues come up with all sorts of special events. Although not all fulfil our expectations, but some can definitely be considered as major happenings. We might just rename this period “Potato Head season” in Bali. Not only is the legendary DJ Harvey (Los Angeles) coming on Saturday 1st of July to headline the show, celebrating the launch of VICE’s Indonesia office with a two-day blowout, but London based DJ Trevor Jackson will be on duty on Sunday 2nd, to entertain the crowd.

Sunny Side Up is a tropical two-day festival that takes place at the same venue. The event brings together international headliners, cutting-edge artists and DJs from a variety of genres to one stage. Previous performers have included Disclosure, Mark Ronson, Ellie Goulding, Azealia Banks, etc. This year, Detroit rapper Big Sean and Parisian indie band Phoenix will headline with big, late night shows on Friday, 11 th and Saturday, 12 th August. Other confirmed artists include british Hot Chip and Jonas Blue, goth-pop songstress Charli XCX, Los Angeles-based DJ TOKiMONSTA, Chicago house trio Autograf, Snakehips, Troyboi, and Australian DJ Wave Racer. To close the season, the world-renowned Ultra Beach Bali 2017 will blast the island from 14th to 16th of September. Party animals, keep some energy!

But It would be a violation to not include more venues in the list of unmissable gigs. Anantara Resort is throwing the Pacha Club Festival as a major blast. Definitely the glitziest and most fashionable of Ibiza’s clubs, Pacha is landing in Seminyak in August. Famous for its sexy, soulful electro house vibe, the club offers a wonderful mix of excess and elegance. Jet-setters, celebrities, socialites, moneyed tourists, and fashionable locals gather all year long. Nightly theme parties including F*** Me I’m Famous with David Guetta or Pure Pacha have already a name all over the world. Let’s see what exciting program they prepared to entertain the Bali crew. Woobar at W Hotel is launchings its annual SPF Summer party with a mouthwatering line up. Kudeta’s bikini and white parties will keep the dance floor off the hook while Jenja, Opivm, Mirror, Sky Garden etc… will do their best to keep the level as high as possible. Call for a vibrant and electrifying nightlife paired with good music, young surfers, beautiful woman and sprawling beaches, Bali definitely promises to entertain. Let’s bet that 2017 will bring it to another level!■
