Flyboarding in Bali

This futuristic looking water sport has powerful jets of water to propel a board into the air. It’s all powered by a jet ski and is a bolt on attachment to the rear nozzle of personal watercraft. The force of the water being propelled from the two jets underneath the board provides enough thrust to lift a person up to 15 meters into the air.

There are various places to rent a flyboard. No worries, you will be supervised and the basic guidance is also available. We can try them at Tanjung Benoa & Nusa Lembongan, where the operator charges around Rp750,000 to Rp1,000,000 to rent this equipment for 30 minutes. Other place that has this facility is at Gili Trawangan, Lombok.

If you’re a beginner, the instructor will control your throttling from the jet ski. That way, he’s able to cut your power when you’re about to fall or on a collision course. For more advanced riders, you can use the Electronic Management Kit, which allows you to use the throttle yourself.

Like any other sports, flyboarding has a lot of unique tricks with their own names. The cool thing about flyboarding is the ability to dive into the water which is called a dolphin trick. Love challenges? This is definitely for you.
