Renting a Villa in Bali

Many expats or new comers in Bali encounter difficulties while searching for a short or long term accommodation. They pop-up questions trying to find a property in a good area, in a good estate, furnished, offering desired facilities and most important – having a good price. So…

What is a good or average rental price for a fully-furnished villa?

The average rental price depends on the area, size and services included in the villa. Today, we find the most affordable villas in the Bukit and around Lovina and in the north of Sanur. The most expensive rentals are often atypical, facing the beach or an exceptional panorama.

Starting with 50 euros to several thousand euros a night, it remains perfectly possible to find houses for different prices in these different areas. If a budget villa does not include almost any service, the most luxurious villas can offer five-star services like chef, spa, security, butler, tour operator etc. In Bali, these services are available for the daily rentals. It is easy to afford a meal with Balinese flavors prepared by the private chef for an evening … or relax with a traditional massage performed on site.

Can we rent a villa for monthly or yearly in Bali?

Yes, most of the properties are open for a yearly rental option! The landlords can always apply for the management agencies, that are available to take care of the rentals for you. These companies receive between 10% and 15% of the rental price, depending on the type of the rental terms.

As for the monthly rental, the landlord and tenant must agree on a fixed price at the beginning of the year. Attention this price does not include the additional costs of the villa, such as electricity, TV, Internet, maintenance etc. Monthly or yearly, the rentals require the establishment of a contract between the two parties in order to avoid any problems. Passing by a notary is not mandatory, but preferable.
