Chapung Se Bali Resort, a stunning retreat located high in hills above Ubud, unveils Jungle Fish—restaurant, pool, deck and bar.

The open-air split-level restaurant is precariously perched on the side of a mountain overlooking the Osh River Valley. The eclectic design combines mid-century Danish and an understated Balinese elegance with an edgy twist. Beautiful, slender wooden tables are complimented by colorful, handmade tiles in a wild array of patterns and designs. On the lower level is the pool deck which brings you face-to- face with lush, green nature.

Built into a ravine, the stunning bar area has a floor-to-ceiling recycled glass mosaic depicting the sea. The combination of a volcanic rock backwash, dark ironwood, striped daybeds and red hues that light up a woven, wooden ceiling, it’s unforgettably sexy.

Presiding over the menu is Executive Chef, Wuisan Chandra, who rose through the culinary ranks while traveling in Australia and Japan. He sets a new standard for the modern, Mediterranean kitchen with Greek overtones and exciting Asian flavors, dishes explode with bold, exciting taste and flavors. The Jungle Fish sets itself apart from other restaurants by having extensive organic gardens which are scattered throughout the property, resulting in beautiful, yet working gardens. The Jungle Fish organic basmati rice is grown on site with the help of local farmers.

The Chef laboriously crafts premium ingredients with fresh, locally sourced and organic vegetables and herbs from their gardens, into seasonal menus showcasing his unique cooking style.

Signature dishes include an exquisite Kataifi prawns, grilled baramundi served with dabu dabu and a dishy ratatouille. The Beef Rendang is to die for in its creamy and spicy sauce, or the now famous Jungle Fish burger made with a 150 grams Black Angus beef patty with its melted matured cheddar. Soothe your sweet tooth with an Espresso chocolate souffle accompanied by tangerine sorbet.

The restaurant will be available for private events, regardless of the size. Depending upon your style, the chef can work with you to cater an event according to your desires.
