Stuck for a spot to kick back and watch all of your favourite sports in comfort? Agreed, there are numerous bars lining the streets of Legian that offer a few screens on which to watch the weekend footy, but all too often rowdy revelers ensure you can only catch a few moments of the commentary and majority rules might mean you miss out on seeing your team!

Canggu Club’s Sports Bar boasts a cool, club house inspired design with a multitude of high-definition screens to guarantee die-hard sports fans up to the minute access to all of the world’s major sporting events. From AFL to NRL, Soccer, Rugby, Cricket, Tennis, Boxing and Badminton–if it’s telecast on screen, the team at the Sports Bar will find it for you! Plush, comfy bar stools, polished floors and walls filled with sporting memorabilia along with the obligatory honour boards show- casing a few of the ‘local’ footy legends add atmosphere without the crazy crowds. Complete with a pool table and darts corner, it’s a top spot to escape the heat of the afternoon, grab a cold beer, some bar snacks or a hearty meal and catch up on the latest news in world sport.

Offering everything a footy fan needs to get their weekly fix, The Sports Bar screens all Australian NRL and AFL fixtures from Thursday through Monday. Don’t forget to mark those upcoming tennis grand slams in your diaries as they will be screening all the action of the major matches from Roland Garros and Wimbledon from late May into July.

The Sports Bar, (located at The Canggu Club adjacent to Bistro C) is open from 11am daily to members, guests and day pass holders and from 5pm it is open for the public to enjoy – no day pass required! Canggu Club Platinum, Gold and Silver members can take advantage of 50% discount on all food and beverages from 5pm with Bronze members enjoying 20% discount on F&B, which makes for a more than affordable evening out for everyone. It’s also a great place to cool down and ‘rehydrate’ after some social sport on weekday evenings at The Canggu Club. Join the team on Mondays for Tag Rugby or Basketball, Tuesdays Soccer, Wednesdays for mixed Netball or Thursday for AFL (after which you can try your luck at the cash jack- pot with The Sports Bar’s, ‘Chase the Ace’.

Rugby League fans, steel yourselves for the onset of some Aussie state rivalry as State of Origin gears up for game one on June 1st. Kick off is at 6pm sharp with live, pre match coverage commencing earlier in the after- noon, so be sure to secure your seat, as die- hard footy followers will all be vying for a bar stool. The series continues with game two on June 22nd and the all important decider on July 13th.
